1. Adjust the tool
Before setting up the machine, it is necessary to check whether the tool is installed correctly. The cutter of the cold heading machine is divided into two parts, and the upper cutter needs to be installed first, and then the lower cutter is installed. Once the tool is properly installed, it needs to be positioned and adjusted to ensure that the cutting edge is tangent to the surface of the workpiece and to form the ideal cold heading head.
2. Check the lubrication system
There will be a lot of friction in the working process of the upsetting bit, which can easily lead to wear and heat generation. Therefore, it is very important to check and adjust the lubrication system. The lubrication system needs to meet the following conditions: the lubricating oil should have good flow and reliability, ensure that the lubricating oil can flow smoothly to the heading and other important parts, and maintain the stability and effectiveness of the lubrication system.
3. Adjust the degree of relaxation
Relaxation refers to the degree of wear and loosening produced by the cold heading machine during operation. If the relaxation of the cold heading machine is too high, it will lead to a decrease in the accuracy and stability of the machine. Therefore, the degree of relaxation needs to be checked and adjusted.
4. Adjust the cooling system
Because the cooling system has a direct impact on the heat discharge and accuracy of the cold heading machine, appropriate adjustments are required. Adjusting the cooling system requires consideration of factors such as the flow rate of the coolant, the cooling rate of the coolant, and the angle of the water spray.
5. Adjust the tension
The tension adjustment of the cold heading machine can be achieved by changing the position of the tension device or the loading and unloading plate. Different tension adjustment schemes are required for workpieces of different materials and specifications to achieve the best working results.
